In his role as ship’s photographer on the True North, Shaun Hutton has been lucky enough to swim with a vast array of marine animals. However he reckons that swimming with South Australia’s sea lions is perhaps his favourite underwater encounter so far!

Shaun was beyond excited to jump-in with the sea lions during last year’s Southern Safari:

“I had heard tales of their friendly and inquisitive nature but I was still surprised at how eager they were to interact with swimmers” reports Shaun. “As soon as the guests entered the water the seals woke from their beach slumber and dashed into the water. Everyone was then treated to a series of intimate and truly unforgettable encounters with some very photogenic characters indeed. I was even lucky enough to have my own experience sealed with a kiss!”
