Capella Lodge has drawn the louvres for a four-month refurbishment with plans finalised and builders working on the multi-million-dollar project. Included in the new design are extended balconies with hot tubs for each of the dual-level Lagoon Lofts and a loft level with second bedroom and generous balcony for the Catalina Suite – perfect for families or friends travelling together. The Makambo Loft will gain an intimate pool and outdoor lounge area with daybed, as well as an upstairs bathroom. The Capella Spa will also be expanded and relocated to an upper level of the main lodge, with a luxurious new treatment room and lounge overlooking the Kentia palms. The main lodge restaurant and bar spaces will also be redesigned to reveal a fresh new look featuring custom furnishings and lighting by Australian designers. Capella Lodge will reopen on September 1, ready to welcome in the spring, a glorious season on Lord Howe Island.
