Celebrating the Winter Solstice at Lake House
Sunday June 25th / 11am – 3pm / $20pp
The Winter Solstice is celebrated by marking the shortest day of the year (21 June) and the longest night. Some also believe it is when the true “Winter” season starts and for us that means gratifying sessions of slow cooking with a good bottle of local wine, the smell of roasting chestnuts, smokehouses in full swing, the gathering of like-minded folk around the fire for great conversations…
It’s a celebration of Lake House’s favourite regional suppliers, farmers and growers as well as a few from further afield who present their products in a market style event with tastings and sales.
Join the team in the Market Hall to meet the talented people behind the food; sample some of the best wines from the surrounding Macedon, Ballarat, Bendigo and Heathcote regions in the Tasting Tent.
Hosted by Alice ‘In Frames’ Zaslavsky, the Cooking School demonstration kitchen will be buzzing with presenters scheduled throughout the day. Stay tuned for the full line-up and timetable!
Pre-book now. Limited tickets available at the gate on the day.
Entry includes a tasting glass, shopping bag, live cooking demonstrations, specialty talks and tastings.
