Lake House shines at The Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide & Wine List Awards.
2015 is the beginning of the fourth decade at Lake House. Since Alla and Allan Wolf-Tasker first opened the doors on their country restaurant in 1984 the focus has been on offering guests a great experience and sense of place in country Victoria. The focus has always on the best possible produce, service and attention to detail. Thirty years later and the property is still at the top of its game; winning a raft of national and international awards and accolades; most recently from the The Australian Wine List of the Year Awards and The Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards.
3 Stars and inclusion in the Wine List Hall of Fame – The Australian Wine List of the Year Awards
3 Wine Glasses, Two Stars and the Top 10 Victorian Restaurants – The Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards
These awards join a great line up of current accolades including: Best Australian Property (within Driving distance of Capital City) Best Australian Food and Wine Experience from the Luxury Travel Gold List, Australasia’s Best Spa Experience and Top 30 Australian Restaurants in the Financial Review Top 100 Restaurants.
“The seasons have always been keenly felt at Lake House; but presently there’s greater change afoot, with a fresh aperitivo bar, lake-view deck and private dining room breathing new life into this grand old dame.”
