2014 marks a great year of celebration for the team at Lake House Daylesford….

Not only are Alla & Allan Wolf-Tasker marking the 30th anniversary of their renowned restaurant & hotel; but the team continue to win some of the most prestigious awards in Australia.

On Monday night the food & beverage team including Sommelier Stacey Lee Edwards received two huge honours – the award for Victoria’s Best Wine List and a joint win of Australia’s Wine List of the Year.

This is more great news for the Daylesford team after their recent win of Australia’s Best Regional Hotel in the 2014 Gourmet Traveller Hotel Guide.

“Although the wine list is extensive, it should be remembered that Lake House is a family business with a 30 year history in country Victoria. Its success shows what perseverance, hard work and talent can achieve even with relatively modest resources……… the number one priority is to match and blend the wines with Alla Wolf-Tasker’s beautiful menu of homemade breads and goodies from the garden and foraging mixed with local ingredients.”

Sommelier Stacey Lee Edwards joined the Lake House team in 2013; taking the reins from previous award winning sommelier Tom Hogan (Best Country Wine List 2013). Stacey arrived fresh from three years at the iconic River Café in London and with extensive additional experience at some of Melbourne’s best restaurants.
