qualia is a private world of secluded luxury in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. An oasis of Australian style, with exceptional levels of award-winning luxury and intuitive, friendly service.

The north-facing Windward Pavilions offer expansive, postcard views of the Coral Sea and Whitsundays. These beautifully appointed pavilions feature a living room, separate bedroom with a king bed or twin on request, ensuite and offer the added indulgence of a private plunge pool. The south west-facing Leeward Pavilions offer you a serene outlook of both the Island and the Coral Sea. They boast a private sundeck, which is the perfect place to capture the warmth of the sun during the day and amazing sunsets at dusk.

Located adjacent to qualia’s private helipad, the unique west-facing Sunset Pavilion is carefully nestled amongst Australian bushland and close to the shore, perfectly positioned to take in the famous Whitsunday sunsets from a generous sundeck. With spacious interiors including a separate study, full kitchen and laundry, this is laidback Australian luxury at its finest.

Each pavilion is situated to capture the most idyllic views of the ocean, and the colours and textures of the natural landscape are echoed in the lodge’s design.

For something truly special, experience the uncompromising luxury and privacy of the two-bedroom Beach House or the secluded opulence of The Residence, a three-bedroom retreat.

The north-facing Beach House at qualia is beautifully spacious laidback luxury with spectacular ocean views. The creatively designed open layout includes dining seating for 10, a fully-appointed entertaining deck and a 12-metre infinity edge private pool. A separate guest house is perfect for friends or family.

The Residence is a private west-facing retreat with sweeping uninterrupted Coral Sea and island views. The generous layout includes two bedrooms plus a separate guest house, making this the largest property at qualia. The open plan full kitchen, lounge and dining opens to two outdoor relaxation areas, complete with a 22-metre infinty-edge lap pool, offering an indulgent spot to take in the evening sunsets.
