Silky Oaks Lodge comprises the renowned open-sided Treehouse Restaurant offering fine dining in scenic surrounds, contemporary accommodation, and the highly lauded Healing Waters Spa.

Set amid the forest canopy, perched above the Mossman River, airy spaces minimise the need for air conditioning and welcome the sights and sounds of the jungle. The lodge features custom furnishings, textiles and artworks by local designers, including a nine-metre-long ceramic artwork created by Kuku Yalanji artists, which adorns the lodge entrance.

The lodge also boasts spacious open lounge areas, bar, reading rooms with reference library and the Jungle Perch, cantilevered over the flowing Mossman River. All suites have wall-to-ceiling windows leading to spacious balconies with lush garden, rainforest or river panoramas.

“Wake to the call of rainforest birds at Silky Oaks Lodge, the iconic eco-experience where you reside quite literally in the canopy of the world’s oldest living rainforest.”

The Tailor

Forty luxury treehouse-style suites welcome in the sights and sounds of the Daintree Rainforest bringing a fresh, contemporary spin on the classic ‘Queenslander’, with signature clean lines, generous appointments and pared back, refined luxury.

With views of the Mossman River or the rainforest, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the natural theatre of the surrounds. Stepping outside, generous verandahs open to the gloriously verdant rainforest and feature the essential tropical accessory: an inviting hammock ready to sway in the afternoon breeze.

A range of suite options are available, from private hideaways set high in the treetops, riverfront retreats overlooking the cascading river below and larger premium suites with extended living areas.

The ultra-premium Daintree Pavilion delivers a new level of luxury rainforest retreat with floor-to-ceiling glass and skillion ceilings welcoming in the sights and sounds of the rainforest, complete with two bedroom wings and an open-air lounging atrium with infinity pool floating among the cool of the forest. Designed for privacy, two separate king bed sleeping areas each offer an ensuite bathroom opening to an outdoor atrium with bath under the treetops, set to the sound of the Mossman River cascading nearby.
