Longitude 131°

Accommodation

In the spirit of the original pioneers, luxurious tented pavillions seem to float over the rust-red dunes, blending style with sustainability. Unparalleled views of Uluru’s changing colours play out from the end of the bed, or on balconies from the warmth of a cosy swag. See what’s included in every stay

“At Longitude 131° in the Northern Territory, dual views from the Dune Pavilion are of Uluru straight ahead and Kata Tjuta to the near right. / can’t recall a more nourishing or timeless sight, as if all the reds of the world were on show against ever-changing light, the spirits of rufous hare wallabies swishing about in the spinifex. Beam me back.”

Susan Kurosawa, The Australian

Timeless and enriching, Longitude 131° overlooks the World Heritage-listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia's vast Red Centre.

Longitude 131°, a gathering of luxury tented pavilions, offers an essential experience of Australia’s spiritual heartland; a true sense of stillness and beauty in the desert landscape, rich in culture, heritage and history.

In the spirit of the original pioneers, luxurious safari-style tents are recreated for the modern traveller and seem to float over the rust-red dunes, blending style with sustainability. Unparalleled views of Uluru’s changing colours play out from the end of the bed, or on balconies from the warmth of a cosy swag unfurled in the cool night air. Contemporary furnishings, artworks by First Nations artists and a generous in-suite bar filled with gourmet treats dispel any illusion of roughing it.

“No matter where you are on the property, the pull of the landscape and the landmark is inescapable. From the architecture to the art, the lodge marks itself as a celebration of Australia’s spirit, past, present and future.”

Signature Luxury Travel & Style magazine

After a day’s exploring, guests relax in a safari-style tent, recreated for the modern traveller as a sanctuary of earthy elegance.

Custom-designed furniture from contemporary Australian designers offers stylish lounging, whilst the bespoke ‘Baillie Bed’ dressed in organic linens and luxurious throws holds centre stage. Private floor-to-ceiling windows yield unparalleled views of Uluru, quite literally at the end of the bed.

The one-of-a-kind Dune Pavilion is Australia’s only accommodation offering views of both World Heritage-listed Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Architecturally designed as a modern interpretation of the Australian homestead, the pavilion is considered the star of the luxury camp. It offers separate living and sleeping areas featuring custom furnishings and artworks commissioned from local artists, outdoor deck with daybed, fireplace and the ultimate in desert style: a private plunge pool overlooking the outback frontier, for a personal nature-meets-luxury experience.
